Peer Review
All research papers and most other article types submitted to our journal undergo a rigorous peer review process before publication. Typically, each manuscript is evaluated by two independent and unbiased reviewers. Our journal first assesses whether the submission is suitable for peer review.
Policy
Manuscripts deemed suitable for consideration are sent to independent experts in the relevant field. The editorial decision is made based on reviewers’ reports, which are shared with authors alongside the editorial judgment. Authors should understand that even if one reviewer provides a favorable assessment, concerns raised by a second reviewer may influence the final decision and could result in rejection.
Open Peer Review
In journals with an open peer review process, reviewer reports include the names of the reviewers, and these reports are published online if the manuscript is accepted. In some cases, pre-publication history may not be available for a specific article. During open peer review, authors and reviewers are aware of each other’s identities. Direct correspondence between authors and reviewers is prohibited; any queries should be directed to the Editor of our journal.
Closed Peer Review
At our journal, the majority of manuscripts undergo closed peer review, where reviewers remain anonymous, and the pre-publication history is not disclosed.
Peer Reviewers
Reviewers are selected based on expertise, professional reputation, prior experience, and recommendations. Preference is given to referees who provide thorough, timely, and well-reasoned evaluations.
Before manuscripts are sent for review, potential reviewers are contacted and asked to maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of the submission. Authors are encouraged to suggest potential reviewers while considering geographical regions, gender identities, racial and ethnic representation, and relevant expertise. Reviewers are similarly expected to be mindful of these factors during evaluation.
